From George Palaganas: President Obama on the Passing of Steve Jobs: "He changed the way each of us sees the world." Posted by Kori Schulman on October 05, 2011 at 09:15 PM EDT
"Following the loss of visionary Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, President Obama released this statement: Michelle and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Steve Jobs. Steve was among the greatest of American innovators - brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.
By building one of the planet’s most successful companies from his garage, he exemplified the spirit of American ingenuity. By making computers personal and putting the internet in our pockets, he made the information revolution not only accessible, but intuitive and fun. And by turning his talents to storytelling, he has brought joy to millions of children and grownups alike. Steve was fond of saying that he lived every day like it was his last. Because he did, he transformed our lives, redefined entire industries, and achieved one of the rarest feats in human history: he changed the way each of us sees the world.
The world has lost a visionary. And there may be no greater tribute to Steve’s success than the fact that much of the world learned of his passing on a device he invented. Michelle and I send our thoughts and prayers to Steve’s wife Laurene, his family, and all those who loved him."
The Man Who Brought US Apple Passes Away From George Palaganas aka Cool Dela Peña:
The loss of Steve Jobs is great loss for the computer industry. The world mourns his passing away and as a computer legend that he was, it will take another "computer generation" before we can see another one on his calibre and league. Let us dedicate a minute of silence and prayer on this day in tribute to the passing of "The Man Who Brought US Apple" and who knows, one day, we can see another one on his "shine and glory".

From George Palaganas: @ Rachilda Hi Chi! I never knew that you still remember it. It's been so long! LOL! Alright, I am kind of a naughty kid when we were young. I owe you an apology for that. Ms. Arciaga took over the subjects of our class since Mrs. De Lara went on leave. Isn't it interesting to realize that after all these years, more than three decades had passed, still everyone is here today for reminiscing? I miss you all guys, really! @ Anthony and @Vicente, I hope to see you guys soon! 10 minutes ago · Like
From Chi-Chi Olonan-Garcia: @George. . . There"s one incident that needs to be told now. It happened during our science subject with Ms. Arciaga (remember her?), i was reciting about arachnids then and after reciting the teacher faced d blackboard and wrote things abt insects. As i was abt to sit, to my surprise, my seat was moved from my place and so i went flat on my behind "nasaldak ako!". It hurt me alot, seated from a near distance was Anthony Bumagat. . .he was chuckling/giggling. Furious i grabbed his hair until i got some and he turned teary eyed. I made sure that the "sabunot" would make even. But OMG! a girl classmate told me that it wasn't Anthony who did it and can u guess who? It was you George, silly you! I apologized to Anthony but i don't remember u saying sorry to me!!! That was more than a poke my dear classmate. U owe Anthony a big deal of apology too, hehehe! very naughty you, not funny tho'. Lucky you the teacher never learned of it coz no one dared to tell her. Ms. Arciaga was kinda strict then and i guess the others were shocked. 13 hours ago via mobile · Unlike · 1 person

From George Palaganas: I am still blushing even today to realize how naughty I have been as a child. But I made-up on alot of things as I grow older. For one, I went to a seminary(MGCS). For another, I survived engineering classes(TSU) even as a working student(Cindys). But then, if you will look back, without these little "funny" incidents before(the naughty transferring of a classmate's seat/desk in front of you or over-poking them on a photoshoot), we are left with very little vivid memories for reminiscing, right? I am sorry, CHI, I am sorry Anthony... but definitely I am missing you so much, guys... 8 minutes ago · Like

From Chi-Chi Olonan-Garcia: @George. . . Ahaa!!!! this you gotta remember. We were seated next to each other. There was this incident that happened during our science class with Ms. Arciaga (i hope you can still remember her, the tall & slim teacher). I was reciting then about arachnids... after I've recited she said a few lines then faced the blackboard & wrote things about insects. When i was about to sit down, i didn't realize that someone pulled my seat from my place...and so i fell flat on my behind! I got hurt real bad and when i got up, I saw Anthony Bumagat (seated at your back) chuckling/giggling to his delight. Furious, i grabbed his hair and mind you i got some out from the "sabunot". I made sure that that will make even. Poor Anthony, he turned teary eyed. To my great surprise... a girl classmate told me that it wasn't Anthony who did it and can you guess???? .....It was you George! very silly you! Heeyy! that was not just a poke. That was so naughty of you to do.... not funny 'tho! Anyways... i guess you owe Anthony a great deal of apology too. I apologized to him right after class, hahaha! Lucky you, Ms. Arciaga never learned of this incident coz no one dared to tell her (she's kinda strict then) or maybe most of us were in shock. I could not forget this incident, i can even tell you what was the question during the recitation. There...now it has been told! 4 hours ago · Like · 2 people

From George Palaganas: @Leilani If you remember it rightly, someone poke you on your back immediately before this photo was taken. Now it can be told, I am sorry for that(medyo napalakas ata ang pagkaka-kalabit ko sa yo[translated: apparently I got the poking hard than usual]), I was hoping then, si Norberto ang pagbibintangan mo...[translated:I was hoping then that on your mind,it's Norberto who did it], naughty me... 59 seconds ago · Like
